Only CKC registered sighthounds can compete in lure coursing.

Which includes Afghan Hound, Azawakh, Basenji, Borzoi, Deerhound (Scottish), Greyhound, Italian Greyhound, Ibizan Hound, Pharaoh Hound, Rhodesian Ridgeback, Saluki, Whippet and (Irish) Wolfhound.

Sprinters and CAP is available for all CKC registered breeds.

There are two types of courses: one for small dogs, shorter than 12 inches at the withers, or brachycephalic dogs, and one for all other breeds. Dogs run singly in both CAP and Sprinters.
